Join us for a live event celebrating the launch of the Mass Exoneration podcast on Sunday, September 16 - the anniversary of the day that Fred Clay, then a teenager, was sent to Walpole maximum security prison for a murder he did not commit. Mass Exoneration is the product of a unique collaboration between the New England Innocence Project, a group of lawyers dedicated to fighting wrongful convictions, and the community of exonerees, family members and others who have been touched by their wrongful convictions. At first, no one believed they were innocent. Now, they're free to tell their stories - and so are their children, their parents, their loved ones and their lawyers. Everyone who lived through it, from arrest to exoneration. The event will include a "sneak listen" of the first episode and an open conversation with Fred and other exonerees and family members who are featured in the season. Hear about the personal dimensions of their wrongful convictions, the challenges of prison life and life after exoneration, and the reasons why they want to share their stories with the world.
