Good location and Excellent Staff

We stayed here in Boston as part of our honeymoon and would not think twice about staying here. The location was good to explore Boston especially if you wanted to jump on the metro or go to TD Gardens. The main thing that stood out was the service we got from the staff, they were all so attentive and friendly. Yelena on the front desk was particularly good, she really did make the first days of our honeymoon feel special. Would stay here again without a second thought

Recommended

Had a junior suite (#209). Room was large with separate king bedroom, bathroom off main entrance, and living area to rear of the room. Bathroom is small, but adequate with nice (if difficult to get a hang of) glass shower. Only window was off the living area and small with a view of A/C units, brick walls, and literally nothing else. Typically I wouldn't be happy with this, but the plus side of it being super dark and quiet is that it made for a great night's and even morning's sleep. Location is great. I was expecting to utilize North T station a lot, but basically anywhere downtown, North End, and even Charlestown is an easy walk if you're in decent shape. Unless you're going west of Boston Common you can walk there with no issue. CVS is a block away, Garden is across the street with nice restaurants one block over on Portland. Friend Street is still a little grimy, but not a bit unsafe feeling. Staff was helpful and nice. Did not eat at Blake's which is off the tiny, if adequate, lobby. Nice little pantry area by front desk if the block to CVS is too daunting. Smelled like some guests were enjoying Massachusetts' foray into rec pot most of the time, but I can remember rooms that smelled like stale cigarette smoke so big improvement over that

Hospitality Staff is what MAKES this place!

Our room was originally booked for Holiday Inn Express but apparently this Hotel has changed hands. However, EVERYONE greeted us upon arrival; doormen, front desk staff, housekeeping, etc. Everyone is so friendly! We came down to go to the Celtics game and stay for the weekend to roam. Major props to Yelena(Spelling?)!!! This little spit fire was BORN for Customer Service/hospitality! She stands just over 4.5ft tall(guessing) but her customer service/hospitality presence is HUGE!She is so helpful & descriptive when giving tips/directions that it almost feels like she personally walked you there. Breakfast(comped due to being booked thru Holiday Inn) was absolutely Delicious! As Delicious as it was, I don't think if it were not for it being comped, we would have even tried it, as it is pricey for us. I'm glad it was comped, because it was AMAZING! Room was super clean and modern(instructions for the shower would be nice; as it was super complicated for someone like me-turn it on and shower....not this modern devilshower! I actually suggested a video welcome/tutorial for new guests to know HOW to run these NEW, TRENDY gadgets!) They are beautiful, modern, and comfy rooms...once you figure a few things out! If you need to check out before your train/bus, they will hold onto your luggage so you can roam freely(Thanks Kaitlyn(?) At the end of the day, this place has so MANY people going above and beyond for the guest that I can't mention them all! We will definitely come back based on the cleanliness and hospitality that we received(I would ONLY EXPECT to get yelled at by an "Angry German" if we were to stay again! ; ) !!!! ;

Surprisingly excellent

Stayed here for Nee Years Eve and enjoyed it. The lobby and overall decor felt updated and modern. The restaurant had delicious, interesting food and a small but varied selection of craft beer (Lord Hobo, Wachusett Brewing). We got buffalo wings, wedge salad, and salmon tartare, and a Wally Juice. The location is a 5 minute walk to North Station & TD Garden, and surrounded by places to eat and drink. The room was great. We had a suite which included a living room / kitchen area with a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean and user friendly. Would definitely recommend it

Great location even with current renovations/construction

While the lobby is currently undergoing renovation, the hotel staff more than make up for the inconvenience. They were knowledgeable, friendly and willing to help with any request (especially Kurt). Given renovations currently in progress, they offer you a $15 voucher at a coffee shop around the corner that has a great choice of food options and $15 more than covers your food. Parking is crazy in this area so recommend valet parking at $43 a day and allows mutliple in/out. Lyft/Uber is very convenient for getting around plus the T station is close by walking distance. We had a corner room on level 2 which was very large, clean and nice layout. Only issue is close to street level so you do hear noise of street and people talking even with windows closed
